I would like to welcome you to Hawarden Golf Club, often referred to as “the friendly club”. The club is over 100 years old and is still a well kept secret but, one that once visited is revisited and regularly receives both positive and enthusiastic feedback from societies and ad-hoc visitors alike.

The course is a challenge for all golfers irrespective of age or ability and It’s memorable, not avenue after avenue of similar holes that leaves you thinking “what hole are we on” but, a layout, terrain and vista that is really special. Indeed, as you settle down at the 19th and think about what you might have done differently, your thoughts will go back to the 18th – a wonderful but, potentially card wrecking par 3 – play it and I know you will agree.

If you are new to the area and are looking for a course to play, give the Pro a call or book via our Website and give us a try, I’m confident that you won’t be disappointed and you will always receive a genuinely warm and friendly welcome. If  you have heard of us but, don’t know where to find us, we are located just six miles from Chester in the village of Hawarden which provides an excellent starting or ending point for groups wanting to play the North Wales links courses but, who also want to play a challenging parkland course.

We have a great membership at Hawarden, lots of characters, many of whom are long or very long standing members, they are all appreciated and valued. The course is unique, the setting is fantastic but, the members are special and their warmth and helpfulness sets us apart and long may it continue.

So, pay us a visit, join one of the groups, enjoy the hospitality and tell your friends, I look forward to welcoming you to our “friendly club”.
