Last Saturday, a family from Hawarden NZ, which is over 11000 miles away from our Hawarden popped into the Golf Club to say hello.
Their names are Bede, Neroli and Ella Grean, and they were doing a mini tour of UK and Ireland, taking in an All Blacks match and a Premier League match along the way. They are pictured here, alongside a Hawarden Golf Club (NZ) club shirt and card, which one of out long standing members, Roger Jones picked up when visiting down there some years ago.
Hawarden GC (NZ) looks a lovely course, and can be seen on their website:
The family run a deer farm which connects to the boundary of the course, and have said for any of our members to give them a shout if they happen to be in area!
We wish the Greans an enjoyable time for the rest of their travels, and safe journey back Down Under!
